Student Led Conferences
Student Led Conferences Wednesday 1st May 2013
Student Led Conferences will include the students guiding
their parents through activities in subject areas such as language, math, U of
I, and specialists, spending time with the student’s portfolio, writing up reflections
and a short teacher, parent, student conference. This should last about 1 hour.
Wherever possible the student will act as interpreter. If
this is not possible please arrange with the official language interpreter
mutually agreeable times. Please include
ELL teachers. Please talk with other teachers to ensure there are no sibling
timetable clashes. KG will be having their SLC’s on the same day so please
coordinate with teachers there if any of your students have younger siblings
attending KG.
During this day the student should guide their parent
through all specialist rooms including the library, ICT lab etc.
Teachers can arrange their schedule the way they would like
it based on this template.
